General information

The Yasuní Kichwa Ecolodge was built by a group of members of the Kichwa Añangu community with the main idea of a community-based tourism project that offered tourist the opportunity to experience how it is the everyday life of native people who live in the jungle and to learn about their culture and traditions. The hotel design combines a modern style with the local architecture, it is a just beautiful! The rooms are really spacious and comfortable; there is a restaurant and some common areas such as a library and a living room to rest in the afternoon when coming back from daily excursions. The Yasuní Kichwa Ecolodge has 12 cabins and a capacity for 36 people. The rooms are considerable spacious and have a private room and a private balcony from where you can see the beautiful landscapes and wildlife.

Also, each room is equipped with hot water, ventilation, mosquito nets, outlets in case you need to recharge your batteries, a safe deposit box, etc. Something you need to know about the lodge is that we really care about the environment. At the Yausní Kichwa Ecolodge, electricity is provided by a modern system of solar panels, batteries and diesel engines.

As for water, the place has a wastewater treatment system so water is clean and safe for use. Also, in the restaurant are you will find plastic containers with drinking water. We recommend you to take a plastic bottle to refill it every time you need. The idea is to use as less plastic as you can.
